I2C Slave interface provides full support for the two-wire I2C synchronous serial interface, compatible with I2C version 6.0 specification. Through its I2C compatibility, it provides a simple interface to a wide range of low-cost devices. I2C Slave IIP is proven in FPGA environment. The host interface of the I2C can be simple interface or can be AMBA APB, AMBA AHB, AMBA AXI, VCI, OCP, Avalon, PLB, Tilelink, Wishbone or Custom protocol.
I2C Slave IIP is supported natively in Verilog and VHDL
